Scooter bike

The thrill downhill into the valley

For children, it is the big finale, for adults perhaps something different, to ride down the mountain on a scooter bike! You choose the tempo yourself, and there are two routes. From Vorsass Mid-Station, you can ride on the scooter bike to Beatenberg Station. On Rocky’s Run, you travel fast, straight to your destination. Anyone who would like to take it easy, while still wishing to try out a scooter bike for the full experience, goes for Happy’s Trail. There is fun to be had and action for all on both routes!

Routes

“Rocky’s Run” Scooter Bike Route

The 6 km route from Vorsass straight to the Beatenberg Station leads over paved forest roads. We recommend this route especially for families and schools.

Time required: 20-30 minutes

“Happy’s Trail” Scooter Bike Route

This route is more comfortable, however more demanding. It is rather flat, and leads over paved forestry roads and unsurfaced roads. The route initially takes you to the Bodenalp, then through the woods into the Rischerental Valley. On the third and last stretch, you ride along the main road through Beatenberg – the longest village in Europe – to Beatenberg Bahnstation, steep grade ascent station. Children need breaks on this route, as there are various little gradients to overcome. There are numerous barbecue and picnic areas along the way. This route is suitable for company excursions or school classes with older students (Upper School).

Time required: 60-90 minutes
