Rocky Familydays on the Niederhorn!
Every 1st Saturday between May and October our Rocky Days take place! Meet Rocky our ibex, discover together with him the alpine orienteering on the Niederhorn and win a small award at the end of the orienteering.
Rocky meets the kids at the mountain station Niederhorn and takes them on his exciting alpine OL route. Parents can of course accompany the cool crew or enjoy a coffee on the terrace or in the Berghaus Niederhorn. Back at the Berghaus, every child who has completed the Rocky Trail with Rocky will be crowned an Alpine OL expert. And there will certainly be enough time for one or two souvenir photos with Rocky.
Come and discover the family world on the Niederhorn together with Rocky!
The Rocky Day is especially for all families, therefore all children up to 16 years can ride on this day the Niederhornbahn for free.
Program Rocky Days:
Depending on how you want to spend your day at the Niederhorn, you can participate in the morning or in the afternoon the Alpen-OL with Rocky.
Morning
10.30 am Meeting point with Rocky at the mountain station Niederhorn
10.30 – 11.30 am Experience Rocky’s Alpen-OL path together with Rocky
11.30 am reciving of the medals and the certificate of the Alpen-OL
Until approximately 12.00 pm souvenir photos with Rocky
Afternoon
02.00 pm Meeting point with Rocky at the mountain station Niederhorn
02.00 – 03.00 pm Experience Rocky’s Alpen-OL path together with Rocky
03.00 pm reciving of the medals and the certificate of the Alpen-OL
Until approximately 03.30 pm souvenir photos with Rocky
After the Alpine OL with Rocky, smaller kids can still discover the marble run or the playground on the Niederhorn. Those who would like to experience a short hike with the kids can complete the more difficult alpine OLs from the Niederhorn to the Vorsass and visit on the way a picnic area. For older kids we recommend a scooter-bike descent from Vorsass to Beatenberg. The kids can discover two different scooter routes together with Rocky or Happy.
Tip: Would you like to take a souvenir of this day with you? At the counters of the Niederhornbahn you can buy a Rocky cuddly toy or a Rocky bag.
